Vince Staples’ acclaimed 2017 album Big Fish Theory is all class, and so it’s not surprising Converse’s latest collection in celebration of the release is stunning.

It’s the first collaborative capsule collection between the brand and the artist, and its slick design applies the album’s vibe to Chuck 70 sneakers.

It’s easy to see parallels between the Long Beach rapper’s record and the new collection, with the orange throughout being a nod to the goldfish on the album cover.

That goes one step further with an aquarium sockliner and Big Fish Theory graphic outsole, which looks insanely cool.

To top it all off, both the Hi and Ox Chuck 70s have the artist’s name embroidered on the medial collar, while the Hi has a Big Fish screen print in orange on the sneaker’s tongue.

“If you’re not really paying that much attention, you won’t know the difference. But [the Chuck] is something that a lot of people use to be able to assimilate into any room they’re going into — every type of person,” Staples said.

“The story of the Chuck Taylor is accessibility and culture.”

The limited Converse x Vince Staples release drops this Friday, January, via the Converse website, Supply Store and Up There Store.
