As the Hottest 100 creeps ever closer, triple j has revealed only a couple hundred votes are separating the top five songs right now.
The national broadcaster dropped a bunch of stats less than a week out from the countdown which reports 1.5 million votes have already been received, breaking the record for the amount of votes lodged this time in last year's countdown.
Another 69,000 people have registered but are still umming and ahhing over their shortlist (hands up if your're part of that guilty few).

Going by the Warm Tuna stats, which predict the countdown based on social media posts, the five songs currently battling it out up top are HUMBLE. by Kendrick Lamar, two Gang of Youths’ songs, Methyl Ethel’s Ubu and Lorde’s Green Light.
