It’s no secret that Adelaide’s local talent pool is one of the best in the world, and Music SA’s ongoing efforts to champion emerging acts will see a handful of the state’s best rubbing shoulders with industry heavyweights at this year’s Adelaide 500.

The winners of Music SA’s annual Bands On Track have been unveiled, with six locals set to perform at the massive event in March.

The three-night concert series will see Hana & Jessie-Lee, Donnarumma, Kitchen Witch, Young Offenders, Neon Tetra and Ollie English share opening duties, before headliners Kasey Chambers, Cold Chisel, LIVE and Robbie Williams take to the stage.

“The Adelaide 500 concerts create an opportunity for local musicians to be ambassadors for the industry, taking part in an internationally flavoured event that is a major fixture in the live music calendar,” SA Premier and Minister for the Arts Jay Weatherill said.

Music SA General Manager Lisa Bishop added: “This is a rare career-defining opportunity for local artists to perform on a large stage, to a highly receptive crowd and with an outstanding level of technical sound and lighting support.”

The 2018 winners join previous winners The Beards, Bad//Dreems, Grenadiers and more and were selected by a judging panel of music industry representatives.

The Adelaide 500 runs from March 2 – 4 and you can find more info in theGuide.
