If you’re a fan of dogs, beer and/or great music, then you’re in luck as The Brightside has announced their acclaimed Bark & Brews event is going weekly.
The venue alone is a hotspot for many reasons – Post Malone dropping into the kitchen during his current Aus tour – one of which is its diverse and refreshing programming, Bark & Brews being a prime example.
Once a monthly shindig, Barks & Brews is now a weekly Sunday afternoon fixture on the venue’s calendar, welcoming dog lovers and their pooches to enjoy live acoustic artists, hot food and cold (alcoholic) drinks (for humans only) and more in a chilled out environment.
"Barks & Brews is the result of catching up with a few inner-city living friends and having them mention that there were few places they could take their apartment-bound pooches on the weekend," The Brightside general manager Noah Honeywill said.
The next instalment will go down this Sunday, January 14, with doors opening at 12pm, with the return of professional dog photography, a dog treats stall, best dress dog competition and more.
A percentage of bar sales on the day will be donated to the good folks over at partners RSPCA Queensland, who will also have dogs available for adoption during the event.
