Over two dozen potential punters, including producer, DJ and billed performer Gina Turner, have been charged with drug possession while boarding Holy Ship! music festival over the weekend.

As reported by Billboard, the New York-based DJ was arrested on three felony charges, including one count of cocaine possession and two counts of possession with a controlled substance without a prescription.

In a now-deleted post via Twitter, Turner denied the charges, claiming she only carried marijuana, for which she has a medical card, and that the other charges were false test readings on natural vitamins.

The producer has since taken to Instagram to explain that she’s working with a lawyer to resolve the “misunderstanding”.

Dozens of other people were charged with similar offences during the first weekend including scene videographer Glen Han, aka Glenjamn.

Holy Ship! is an annual three-day EDM festival leaving out of Florida with stops at the Bahamas over the first two weekends of January. The 2018 line-up included Aussies Alison Wonderland, What So Not and Cut Snake.
