With their second Melbourne show now completely sold out Secret Sounds has today announced one final date for Eagles Of Death Metal’s March 2016 Australian run of headline shows.
Melbourne fans, if you haven’t scored a ticket yet you now have one final chance to see EODM on Thursday 31 March. Tickets for the new Melbourne show are on sale now!
Final tickets for EODM’s Sydney are on sale now and will likely sell out today. Tickets for their Fremantle show are still available but also selling fast.
Supporting EODM on all of their headline dates will be Melbourne three-piece, all-star rock band All The Colours.
Formed in 2012 from members of 1QA, Betchadupa, Miami Horror and Impossible Cinema, All The Colours are on a mission to write 10 Volumes (albums) of diverse, involved and indulgent rock. Two volumes down. Eight to go!
Secret Sounds are all pumping fists and thrilled to announce that Eagles Of Death Metal will play three special headline dates across Australia this March.
Already announced to perform at Bluesfest, EODM’s Easter 2016 visit will also include headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle.
You don’t get much more rock-n-roll than Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme. Best mates since they were teenagers, the Palm Desert, Californian pair formed EODM in 1998.
Despite their band name, EODM is not a death metal band. The story goes that a friend was attempting to convert Joshua Homme to the death metal genre, and Homme wondered what a cross between the Eagles and a death metal band would sound like. With that, EODM was born.
They have released four albums (Peace Love Death Metal in 2004, Death By Sexy in 2006, Heart On in 2008 and 2015’s Zipper Down), toured the globe many times over and played a bunch of the worlds biggest festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, Roskilde and many more.
Both prolific artists, in addition to EODM Hughes has released solo albums, contributed to books and made a feature documentary while Homme has become a pivotal figure of modern music, a member of Queens Of The Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures and most recently collaborating with the legendary Iggy Pop.
In February 2016 EODM will return to the road, hitting stages across Canada and Lollapalooza in South America before heading to Australia in March. ..
