It’s Winter, the Queen gives you a day off, your summer shenanigans are a little hazy, or hazier, fake tan looks stupider than it normally does, and Bondi beach is quieter than a sign language convention, must be time to rock on with your Doc’s on at the annual two day punk, rock and indie extravaganza, Come Together 2010.

Another year, another heaving line-up with Come Together 2010 set to be bigger, badder and better than before.  WA four-piece Gyroscope take the trip over the Nullabor returning to Come Together on the Saturday, fresh off Triple J’s One Night Stand, and with their new album ‘Cohesion’ in tow.  Joining them on Saturday, one of Australia’s undisputed heavyweight touring acts The Butterfly Effect, punk (and boat) rocking faves Frenzal Rhomb, Philadelphia’s The Loved Ones (US) make their first trip down under together with punk rock royalty Strung Out (US).  Progressive hardcore upstarts House Vs Hurricane, and MM9 will be sure to get the joint jumping.

With their sixth album ‘Six to Midnight’ doing the rounds, Sunday sees Lismore’s finest, Grinspoon reminding the Come Together faithful why they are one of Australia’s much loved acts.  Sunday also sees the indie kings and queens strut their stuff led by British India with material from their latest album ‘Avalanche’, Triple J darling Bertie Blackman, Oz hip-hop’s current heroes Horrowshow and rising rockers Calling All Cars all taking centre stage.  With more acts up our sleeve and some familiar faces filling out the rest of the announced line-up, you best start getting it together for Come Together.

Taking place over the June long weekend at Luna Park, Sydney, Come Together 2010 delivers the strongest line-up to date.  With the unlimited rides included in the ticket, there is so much value for money we should be advertising on the Kerri Ann show right after the ab-tastic fat blastertron.

So friends, some of the latest and greatest performing alongside some of the tried and tested delivering two days of non-stop rock in all its various shapes, sounds and sizes, unlimited free rides, it’s an all ages affair, and Queen Lizzie gives you an extra day to recover. Sounds like your plan for the June long weekend is all coming together (sorry).
